MBtech Consulting develops seminar programmes on Lean Management for the LEAN Hochschulgruppe of the University of Karlsruhe (TH)
The successful collaboration between MBtech Consulting GmbH, a company of the MBtech Group, and LEAN Hochschulgruppe (HSG) will continue in 2008. The purpose of this collaboration is to make Lean Management an integral part of the teaching system and to increase collaboration with universities.
On May 16 and 17, the time for this project has come again: MBtech Consulting will invite LEAN HSG students to a two-day seminar. The agenda includes subjects such as Value Stream-Supported Production Planning, Just-In-Time Production, Lean Quality Management, Total-Productive Maintenance and Lean in administrative areas. MBtech Consulting advisers will guide seminar participants through a step-by-step approach on these subject areas, offering students an insight based on practical simulations of a consultant’s daily work.
Dr. Ulrich Anstadt, head of the “Lean Manufacturing” practice at MBtech Consulting considers this close link between the company and the university group to be a source of development opportunities for all participants. “Cooperation offers students and our consulting company exceptional opportunities”. On the one hand, ambitious students can experience and apply the Lean principles under a practical approach and, on the other hand, they can introduce themselves to MBtech Consulting, a company in constant growth. “This enables students to have early contact with potential employers”, said Dr. Anstadt regarding former events.
Christopher Dröge, chairperson of LEAN HSG’s board, sets out a provisional appraisal: “Collaboration with MBtech Consulting gives us the chance to practically and theoretically internalise the Lean principles in order to take a significant step forward in such a subject area; the holistic approach and decisive success of this will provide us with huge development opportunities”.
After the promised kick-off in June 2007, MBtech Consulting continued, in December 2007, with its seminar programme for LEAN HSG students at the University of Karlsruhe (TH). The students at the LEAN HSG are the first in Germany to be interested in mastering the “lean production” subject—in order to build a bridge between theory and practice focused on the lean philosophy—before starting their professional careers.
According to the company, the cooperation with LEAN HSG must be consolidated and firmly established in order to provide students at the University of Karlsruhe with a wider educational offer.
