MBtech calendar project wins international prizes.
The MBtech calendar for 2009 has won awards at two of the most prestigious competitions in the print and media branch: At the 59th International Calendar Show the jury from the Graphische Klub Stuttgart e.V. awarded the calendar the silver medal. The jury from the "Japan Calendar Awards 2009" also awarded MBtech's print work silver.
The calendar shows, which both take place in January every year, belong to the most important competitions in the print and media branch in Europe or Asia. At the event approximately 1,500 international calendar prints are displayed, 60 of which receive prizes in the various categories. The main award from the Stuttgart jury is the "GREGOR" 2009, in addition, gold, silver and bronze can be awarded multiple times. The Druck und Medien in Baden-Württemberg e.V. association, the Graphische Klub Stuttgart e.V., Kodak GmbH Stuttgart, and the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Trade and Economics organize the competition in Stuttgart. The jury judges the originality, creativity, design concept, production and material selection, functionality and photography. The jury of the "Japan Calendar Award" also utilizes similar criteria for their gold, silver and bronze awards. These were the 60th Calendar Fair awards from the Japan Printing News Co. Ltd., the Japanese print media association.
Focusing on the theme "Nature of Technology", MBtech's large-format calendar illustrates the symbiosis between biological processes and the MBtech Group's engineering and consulting services on twelve pages. It is the product of a competition held among three prestigious German design institutes. MBtech selected and realized the entry from the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design from among 20 submitted calendar concepts.
"We are especially happy that young, creative students from Stuttgart have won the competition", said Dr. Wolfram Motz, Head of Marketing MBtech Group.
