MBtech presented innovative products at the Automotive Testing Expo successfully
The MBtech Group presented the entire range of its innovative engineering and consulting services at the Testing Expo in Stuttgart, Germany. MBtech introduced its products, PROVEtech:VA and SiL/HiL testing in a powertrain environment to a broad public for the first time. These products are already successfully used by customers. In addition MBtech also presented its comprehensive engine and powertrain development and testing know-how on the basis of transient commercial vehicle motor testing. In doing so the MBtech Group provided an exemplary demonstration of its comprehensive overall expertise. The group supports automobile manufacturers and suppliers throughout the entire product development process with engineering and consulting services from a single source.
Ulf Stegemüller, Software Engineering Manager at the MBtech Group, gave a lecture on "A test suite for diagnostics communication servers" as part of the "Open Technology Forum" during the Testing Expo.

PROVEtech:VA - Convenient data logging in test vehicles
The newly developed PROVEtech:VA tool is essential for mobile data logging (XCP) and recording signals in test vehicles in order to validate and set the parameters of the software functions for the control units. The optional parallel coupling with video recording in driving and environmental situations provides important insights concerning possible malfunctions during the subsequent evaluation. MBtech has developed this unique data logging application for standard PC operating systems. PROVEtech:VA supports all of the current interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, USB) and, depending on the customer's requirements, can thus be used on all of the typical PCs as a laboratory system or on PCs suitable for vehicles (vibration-proof, expanded temperature range from -40 to +85°C, etc.) which are mounted in the boot (e.g. in the spare tire well) or in the interior. Moreover, the requirements regarding simple installation and operation and, not least of all, relatively low costs have also been implemented. This makes PROVEtech:VA an efficient tool for vehicle development.
Testing powertrain and chassis control units - comprehensive test automation from SiL to HiL:
MBtech has demonstrated a full vehicle simulation which enables closed-loop testing for control powertrain and chassis control units by means of suitable drivers and testing track models. Using PROVEtech:TA, the sophisticated tool for test automating, the test cases are defined and carried out, providing automated tests for the control unit software functions in a software-in-the-loop environment. The advantage of utilizing PROVEtech:TA is that the test cases can then be transferred to the HiL testing. The demonstrator’s graphical animation visualizes the transmission and motor mechanics as well as the driving dynamics.
Efficient testing services and innovative engineering expertise in the powertrain environment
For the development of combustion engines MBtech has access to its own high-tech test facilities for both stationary and transient engine and powertrain testing.
The combination of these efficient test services with specific engineering know-how in engine and powertrain development enables MBtech to offer its customers innovative engineering services in the field of design, calculation, combustion process development and engine application ranging beyond the actual test facility services themselves.
Furthermore, MBtech also designs, builds and operates highly efficient test benches which are precisely tailored to the customer's specific testing requirements. This ability to specifically address the customer's requirements and act independently of manufacturers and suppliers represents the core competence.
