MBtech Consulting holds a seminar at Pforzheim University

Beginning in the 2007 summer semester Christian Hürter and Marc Goldschmidt, consultants from MBtech Consulting GmbH, are holding a block seminar on production systems for students at Pforzheim University.

In the seventh, second to last, semester the students are preparing for their thesis and for the challenges of professional life. This seminar provides them with current practical knowledge concerning lean production and its influence and effects on logistics.

The students gain insights into the developmental history of production systems and the fundamental concepts and systems in order to be able to produce in an unstable, stagnating buyer's market with the minimum possible waste. In the course of a value flow simulation students experience "live" the negative effects which can arise from a traditional production system. The students develop interactive solutions and put their new knowledge into practice to transform the traditional production system.

For the lecturers and MBtech Consulting the event presents a new challenge to establish "lean" issues at universities by exchanging knowledge with the students themselves.
